An email from a friend....

This morning, receiving a message from my 'old' friend (I called 'old', as she is far older than me, about 30 years older than me). Sent me an email:
"Annette Mccafferty: Wati, you certainly are muslim, amongst the best muslims I came to know during my time in Indonesia, i am christian and valued our frank and really informative discussions we had during our long drives in the field trips,I left Indonesia with the utmost respect for true muslims, I thank you for not being offended by my questions and respecting my beliefs, I was so touched by your acceptance".

I think deeply, what had been in her thought and mind before she met me? What did I do, so that she told me so? This is respectfulness. This is real friendship, Annette...

I miss you and the moment we had, spending time and shared everything. It also shows me that 'age' is not the measure....

MISSION TO BUMIAYU ARCHAELOGICAL SITE

There have been 11 temples excavated here. There are still some have not been excavated. I won,t tell about the site or temples, but our mission to register the artefacts found during the excavation of the temples. There are more than six hundred artefacts recovered from temple 1. We started doing the registration. What a tiring day, numbering, painting, taling pictures of them... Wll spend view more days here in BUMI AYU, I wish I could fly going home....

ON MY WAY TO PALEMBANG....

Peristiwa ini terjadi beberapa jam sebelum kami melintasi jalan raya ini. Sempat terhenti beberapa saat untuk menunggu alat berat memindahkan si Raja Jalanan itu. Macet panjang, untungnya mobil yang kami tumpangi adalah mobil jenis kijang, sehingga bisa melewati jalan kecil yang dibuat penduduk setempat dlm waktu singkat. Tronton sekian besarnya, memenuhi badan jalan...

Cuma ingin berbagi cerita... Pengemudi alias sopir dan penumpang di tronton, menurut penduduk sekitar, dilarikan ke rumah sakit, patah mematah... Pengemudinya kayaknya ngantuk, dan menabrak truk parkir. Mudah2an yang kekgitu, dijauhkan dari kita,,, Amien...
